The University of Baguio School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) recently held its highly anticipated 9th Tripartite Collaboration Forum last April 24, 2023. The event, held at the prestigious University of Baguio Centennial Hall, brought together university alumni, industry partners, and student leaders to discuss the continuous improvement of the SIHTM curriculum, program outcomes, and educational objectives.
Esteemed organizations and prominent University Alumni actively participated in the Tripartite Collaboration Forum, alongside the presence of UB-SIHTM student leaders. The event commenced with an official opening, featuring a warm welcome by Ms. Jenelyn Mangangey-Magpatoc, CGSP, MHRD, the respected Dean of SIHTM. Subsequently, program chairs from each department delivered presentations on the revised curriculum for BSTM-IT, AACACO, and IHBO. These presentations were followed by an interactive session, where industry partners, alumni, and students shared their valuable recommendations and suggestions.
To ensure continued engagement, talented students from SIHTM graced the intermissions with captivating performances. Remarkably, Bernadett Keller and Pamela May Suyom captivated the audience with their Flight Attendant Showmanship, while Esadora Belino fascinated attendees with her Talking Bartender performance.
The 9th Tripartite Collaboration Forum served as a crucial platform for the School of IHTM, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and expertise. The event's achievement can be attributed to the outstanding leadership of Ms. Leah Mae Ramos Gabudao, the event chair, and her enthusiastic team. The valuable contributions of the program chairs, Ms. Joanna Marie Victorio, Ms. Mary Joy Limpin, and Ms. Kresdale Pacalso, along with the efforts of the event hosts, Mr. Fernando Bagay and Ms. Lauren Kaye Navarro, and the culinary expertise of Chef Alexander Molintas and Chef Ailene Manecla, further enhanced the event. The dedicated working committee, including Mr. Anthony Santos, Ms. Desiree Anne Olimpo, Mr. John Frank Sabado, Ms. Pamela Eileen Mae Consul, and Ms. Roeanne Mylene, played an essential role through their firm diligence, underscoring the significance of collaboration in advancing hospitality education and preparing graduates for success in the industry.
